We recently bid a government project for the interior protection of a very difficult 577,000 sq. ft. job that was 45H. We had very little access to do the interior protection on the ceiling where the roof tear off.  While others bid the job trying to use traditional access methods, ladders, scaffolding and planks, Global Wrap worked with a consultant and engineer to manufacture a suspended movable platform.  This innovative design not only will give us access to the ceiling over conveyor belts, catwalks, and hundreds of vertical supports for lighting and other utilities, it is going to be safe.  We quoted the job using specific highly trained and experienced trades to install and move the platforms and install the containment.  Global Wrap crews have the ability to work as union carpenters and iron workers and still be competitive with non-union crews.  While we work both union and non-union jobs, on this one we chose union and since this was a Davis Bacon job, it made no financial difference.   All our crews are thoroughly trained in fall protection, aerial lifts, and other safety training to ensure a safe and professionally install ceiling containment.  Our quote was under a $100K less than the high bidder and only $20K over the low bid.  Our major concern was safety.

These platforms could also be used by the plumbing contractors to install the new 119 roof drains and the interior water piping.  I have been told that this will save the GC roofing contractors over $200K and more in some quotes from the plumbing contractors to do their interior installations.  This is the benefit of working with Global Wrap®.
